How To Find AI Maps For Any Town And How To Read Them!

If you want to become a really effective infantry player then you need to be a team player. This doesn't always mean playing in a group - but it does mean doing things that help Team Allied. Killing and repairing AI helps your side - AI kill far more infantry and armour than single players do!

If you kill AI you are creating a safer route in for both infantry, trucks and armour. If you repair AI then you are making it harder for axis infantry and armour.

If you know where the AI are and which direction they are aiming (remember they can only shoot 30 degrees either side of this) then you can plot safer routes into axis towns, cover sides of allied towns that the AI do not cover, and kill/repair them. Remember, AT Pits cannot kill infantry, they are safe lol! Try walking in front of one!

So how to find out where they are? Here's a map of part of Lier - most towns are not as AI populated as this lol! This comes from the standard in game map at full magnification!

I have to admit, I have been playing the game for so long and never knew what the AI on the map looked like and just tested it by trial and error.

This helps a lot because when driving in a truck for an FRU we can try to set it in a way for infantry to run to town without (hopefully) running into the AI path.

By the way, your tactical and leadership skills have not gone unnoticed If you get time to post anything tactical, please do - especially your views on taking down FBs at the start of an attack! I always thought that all the battles should be at the FBs and the towns wouldn't be needed lol - only joking, but there i a grain of truth in that

I will definitely write a post on some of my thoughts on attacks/defenses, etc.

A little preview of my post will be about FBs.

Why is this important? I don't know about you all, but one of the MOST FRUSTRATING things that can happen is when you are attacking a town and the FB gets taken down by the other side. This is so frustrating that will often cause people (including myself) to log out of the game. Although I feel like FBs are not good for WW2 Online game in general because of this dynamic, it is what the current situation is for the game and one of the most effective ways to shut down Axis!
